Heidi Soumerai, CFA
Director of Social Research
Heidi joined Boston Trust & Investment Management Company in 1985 quantitative and social research analyst. She is Director of Social Research for Walden Asset Management, the socially responsive investment division of Boston Trust. She oversees the evaluation of existing and potential securities relative to environmental, social and governance factors. She also coordinates and leads a variety of shareholder advocacy initiatives to promote greater corporate accountability, including company dialogues, shareholder proposals and proxy voting. She is editor of Walden’s client newsletter, Values. She has also served as co-manager of Boston Trust and Walden’s small cap equity portfolios, and continues to advise the small cap team and contribute to securities research. She is a member of the Shareholder Advocacy Committee as well as a Director of Boston Trust. Prior to joining Boston Trust, Heidi was a research associate for the Adolescent School Health Project in Boston.

Heidi holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and the CFA Institute. She earned a BS in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Boston University.
